Hello Literary Friends,
Welcome to my blog. I am so glad you joined me. Making sure that we all know what's out there for unpublished authors (so we can all become published, money-making writers) is my number one goal. I have several links which will make your life easier. So when looking for a publisher, or some advice on how to go about getting published or even words of wisdom from several published writers, let me and The Writer's Chat help you find just what you are looking for. And remember, you can always tell me what you think, and know that your comments are always welcomed.
What a great resource for authors who are trying to get their work published. All three sources provide a different view but vital information. I personally enjoyed the "Morrison on Writing Books" as I am quite familair with her work. I thik the information you have provided will be a great benifit to all. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and best of luck to you on your professional writing career.

Thank you so much Ginny for visiting my blog. I hope you will come again. Did you find everything you were looking for on my blog? Please let me know if I can make anything easier for you. JoAn
DeleteGoodevening JoAn,
DeleteThank you for your response. the layout is perfect for finding information related to publishing. It truly is a breath of fresh air to find someone who is willing to share their time and knowledge. I look forward to the time when I can say "I knew her when". Ginny
Ginny, you are so nice. I was glad to know you were able to navigate through. It wasn't very hard to do this once my friend Danielle showed me some of the basics. I look forward to the time when you can say I knew her when. . . also. I get really happy when I think about all the things I have accomplished in such a short period of time. Until we meet again.
DeleteI think this is a helpful blog. I found out about you through our mutual friend Bjuana. After clicking on the books, I found the information you wanted us to see right up close and personable. I am willing to look at what you have written in a private email if you would like. Contact me at geojoonstar@comcast.net. Good luck in your writing endeavors. George
ReplyDeleteHello George,
DeleteI appreciate you stopping by for a chat with me. I am so glad that Bjuana was able to get ahold of you. I don't want this to be your last time and I look forward to her response as well. I know you love Toni Morrison and was reading her last book. If you have finished it, would you please put something on the blog about it? Thanks again, George. JoAn
Glad to be of service. George
DeleteI look forward to following your blog..i wish you had a subscribe by email option, rather than just a reader subscription....but i am still excited to hear from you again.
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew who you were so that I could give you a proper response. I do so enjoy you visiting my blog and hope you will return again. If you have read anything new or know who has come out with anything new for us to read, please share here. Thank you. JoAn
DeleteI knew writing was hard, but writing a book is worse. Through the resources for writing and how to have a book plan, i can say my hats off to all writers and authors. Its not easy. It takes exceptional people to write. This is really an eye opener for me. This blog have enlightened and made me aware of writer for what they go through. Really nice job. Look to seeing more.
ReplyDeleteHello Friend,
DeleteI am glad you found your way to me. Writing is very difficult, but I truly love it. It is my best way of self-expression (whether good or bad). Please come back and see me and if you want to talk about writing and ways that I write, I would be happy to share. Hope to see you again soon. You can use the arrow down below to reply as along with your name if you would like. Thanks again for stopping by. JoAn
I really like your blog, JoAn. I saw George a couple of days ago and we discussed some of things you are doing in the field of writing. I was hoping to see you book here, but he told me about the possibility of someone stealing a portion of it and claiming it as their own. Too bad. I sorry about that, but I would be more than happy to read whatever you have if you want me to. I like Toni Morrison too. I think she is just about everybody's favorite in some form or another. She is so soft spoken. Maybe I'll submit some poetry for your blog. I'm not trying toget published and that way my work will get some notice. Good luck in getting published. I think you should try the self publishing, at least for a book of short stories. I look forward to see you in print. Bjuana
ReplyDeleteBjuana, thank you for visiting my blog. I try to stay busy with my personal writing and school. This is my first real blog that is not a continuous thing that my professor will monitor. I am free do say what I'd like and converse with everyone who drops by. I hope we can have many more talks like this. I do want you to submit some of your work, but I also want you to know that nothing published on this blog is copyrighted. So if it's stolen there isn't anything we can do about it. So be careful. If you would like me to read some of your poetry in private, you can either call me and I'll pick them up or we can talk over the phone. (I also like to eat and read at Cracker Barrel). With all the new medias out there, even the walls have ears. And good luck on what you're writing. Maybe we can find the same publisher. That would be great. I responded on the other post to you also. Until the next time.
ReplyDeleteHi JoAn! First off I want to commend you on creating such an eye-catchy blog spot! I also have a great love of writing with one of my poems being published back in 2002. The links you provided here are excellent in helping writers know what it takes to get their works published. I must however, give honorable mention to "Linda and Danielle Advise To Plan Before You Finish Your Book". They hit the nail right on the head saying, "A book proposal is to a book what a business plan is to a business." Simply put, it's essential! I'm excited to see how far you go with your passionate journey in writing Mrs. Jackson. You already have down one of the most important "rules" us writer go by: SHARE AND SUPPORT EACHOTHER!. Keep the conversation going and good luck in your future writing endeavors!

Thank you for stopping by "The Writer's Chat" my friend. You are my first published visitor. I am sure that all of my followers will join me in asking you to tell us a little something about how you got published. We would love to read about it in the coming days. As I have written on another post, I sent a letter to Dr. Carolyn C. Denard who is a friend of Toni Morrison about either of them commenting and reading my blog. Keep your fingers crossed and let me know what you think. I look forward to hearing from you. Happy writing.
DeleteI'd like to hear about it as well. George
DeleteI would like to cast my vote to see if Ms. Morrison will vist your site. That would truly make a literary statement. I would hope that it would get you an A also! It has been great to watch all of the other posts and see the responses. Good luck.

Thank you Virginia. You are most kind. Keep checking back to see the end result.
ReplyDeleteI watched 60 Minutes last night. Donald Trump was giving advice to new millionaires. The millionaires seemed to like what he was saying. I didn't hear one word about charities to colleges and universities. What's up with that? George
ReplyDeleteHard times I guess. When you don't have much to start with and win something, it's kinda hard to just pass it off to some place you don't even know about. I'm sure they have their own charities and maybe they do give. But I would be careful too, so I don't just give it all away. Bjuana
ReplyDeleteIdon't think that would be something for me to worry about. I already have established charities and those would be the only ones to reap the benefits from any wealth I get. I have limited family that I deal with all the time and they would reap. I have less than five friends so I don't worry about that. Once I give or donate, that's all they would get. I hope to live a long time and won't be giving away everything I have.
