Hello Literary Chatters,

I was talking to a few of you earlier and I decided I like the idea of inviting Toni Morrison to visit this blog.  I found out from a writer friend that I could go through her Publicist for the deliver of such an invitation.  Would not that be GREAT!!!  Let's hear from the rest of you.  What do you think?  Will Morrison accept the invitation and visit this blog or not?  We could even have a contest which states everyone interested in seeing Morrison respond to this blog write to her Publicist and whoever gets the first response, (whether yea or nay) post it here and win a prize.  What do you all say?  I look forward to hearing from you.  Happy reading until we meet on this blog again.

My Dear Literary Folks,

I am so happy that some of you chose to visit me.  I would love to have a great conversation about one of things I love . . . writing.  If you will leave a signature after your comments, it will make my response to you more personal.  I do thank you for stopping by.  I want this blog to be about publishing as well as writing.  All of us who want to write, will need a multitude of information that we can get our hands on in order to be successful writers.  We also need to encourage each other to write well enough to get published.  If we stay in contact and keep talking about writing, reading and publishing our time together will be worthwhile.

As for informational purposes, "Bless Me, Ultima" by Rudolfo A. Anaya (1972) will start Friday at the theaters.  Anaya said of this book when he wrote it,  "I have been writing for the past ten year.  I have written volumes of poems, stories, novels, burned some, saved a few.  Out of a suitcase full I have, it seemed that ULTIMA distilled into something worthwhile.  Writing is not easy.  It is a lonely, and oftentimes unappreciated endeavor.  But I have to keep creating, I had to keep trying to organize all the beautiful, chaotic things into some pattern.  Writing is never quite learned.  I have to rewrite and rewrite each manuscript before I am satisfied."  It was once said that writers are their own worse critic and for Anaya, it must be so.

Happy reading and writing, until the next time!

Hello Literary Friends,

Welcome to my blog.  I am so glad you joined me.  Making sure that we all know what's out there for unpublished authors (so we can all become published, money-making writers) is my number one goal.  I have several links which will make your life easier.  So when looking for a publisher, or some advice on how to go about getting published or even words of wisdom from several published writers, let me and The Writer's Chat help you find just what you are looking for.  And remember, you can always tell me what you think, and know that your comments are always welcomed.
